This Billing & Payment Policy explains how payments are processed for purchases made on Bokon.uk, including hardback books, paperback books and eBooks.


1. Prices & Currency

  • All prices on Bokon.uk are displayed in Pounds Sterling (GBP, £).
  • Unless clearly stated otherwise, prices are shown inclusive of UK VAT (where applicable).
  • Any applicable taxes or fees will be shown clearly at checkout before you place your order.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept the following payment methods (as displayed at checkout):

  • Credit and debit cards (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, others as available)
  • Other payment methods or digital wallets may be offered and will be clearly indicated on the payment page.

We do not accept cash, cheques, or bank transfers for online orders.


3. Payment Timing & Order Confirmation

  • Payment is taken at the time you place your order.
  • Your order is not confirmed until payment has been successfully authorised.
  • Once payment is approved, you will receive an order confirmation email with your order details.

If payment is declined, your order will not be processed and you may need to contact your bank or try another payment method.

6. Digital Content (eBooks) Billing

  • For eBooks, you will be billed once at the time of purchase.
  • After successful payment, access to the eBook (download link or online access) will be provided as described on the site.
  • We do not operate automatic renewals or subscriptions for eBooks unless explicitly stated.

7. Changes to Prices & Promotions

  • We may change prices, discounts, or promotional offers from time to time.
  • The price you pay is the price shown at checkout at the time you place your order.
  • Pricing errors: if we discover a clear and obvious pricing error, we may cancel the order and contact you to offer the option to reorder at the correct price.

8. Refunds & Chargebacks

  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy and issued to the original payment method where possible.
  • If you believe your card has been used fraudulently on Bokon.uk, please contact your bank or card issuer immediately and then contact us so we can review the transaction.
